Ed Northwood and Associates was started in January 2007 by Edward C. Northwood following a long tenure as partner with the firm Hodgson Russ LLP (whose lawyers he continues to work with regularly).  Our varied skillset and experience allows us to provide both a more traditional trusts and estates domestic practice as well as an international private client practice (see Practice Areas). At Ed Northwood and Associates, we strive to provide all of these services not only with full competency but also with sensitivity and caring.

In many cases, clients require the services of attorneys in other practice areas in order to fully implement their estate plan, complete the administration of an estate or trust, relocate to another state or country, meet U.S. compliance requirements, or implement investment purchases or restructuring arising out of interests in foreign assets. Ed Northwood and Associates has developed a comprehensive network of professional colleagues who provide such services. In addition, Ed Northwood and Associates has strong relationships with attorneys and accountants from across the United States and Canada, and literally around the world, with whom we coordinate services appropriate for our clients’ needs.
